Adele (she/her) approaches her work with the philosophy that every human being is the expert in their own life; she believes that we all have the innate capacity and wisdom for healing. In a session, she facilitates a genuine and safe environment for her clients to recognize their strength, potentials, and self-growth. She is passionate about combining psychotherapy with art making to engage with inner creativity and to make room for things words cannot always express.
She is grateful to live, work and play on the traditional and unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh peoples. She identifies as a cis-gender, queer, able-bodied, Chinese student art therapist and counsellor, and is completing her Master of Counselling and Art Therapy degree from Adler University.
As someone who has experienced the value of therapy, she understands that seeking therapy is a huge step for anyone. Healing is non-linear and she strives to meet her clients where they are at and moves at a pace that feels comfortable for them.
Adele is bilingual (English & Mandarin) and has experiences supporting children and youth and adults, including disabled folks and folks who use substances. Her approach is trauma-informed, anti-oppressive and collaborative. She looks forward to connecting with you!
