Evelyn is centered in the photo. They have a subtle smile and their short brown hair is parted on the side. Behind them is an ocean view with pastel-coloured clouds above. They are wearing a green button up shirt and have their hands tucked away into their pants pockets. A tattoo can be seen peeking out on their left forearm.

About
Whatever brought you here, whether it’s feelings of shame, disconnection, being stuck, worries about your relationship, sexuality, identity or otherwise, Evelyn is so glad that you are here. It took accessing a lot of your inner strength and hope to get to this point despite how much you are holding. In counselling with Evelyn, you can expect a warm and caring presence to witness and be with you.
Evelyn Taylor (they/she) is a queer, non-binary, poly, non-disabled, white settler on the unceded territories of the xwməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. Evelyn’s identities and lived experiences inform her practice. These lived experiences include a working-class upbringing, trauma, grief, financial scarcity, and growing up as a weird kid.
Evelyn believes that you are the expert in your own life. They firmly believe that all of us deserve access to our emotions, pleasure, and bodies in a way that feels connected, secure, and free from shame. Co-creating a space that feels affirming, safe, sex-positive, and nourishing to your relationship to yourself and others is Evelyn’s focus. They believe that safety and trust in our chats is to be cultivated together.
Evelyn’s approach is emotion-focused, somatic, and attachment-based. They support both individuals and relationships. She specializes in the areas of relationships and sex therapy. This includes BDSM and kink, polyamory and non-monogamy, pleasure, desire, boundaries, and communication. In their graduate studies capstone project, Evelyn is exploring frameworks for BDSM and kink-affirming psychotherapy practice. They have training in Gottman Couples Therapy Level 1, working with neurodiversity, chronic pain, and queer & trans folks.
In their personal life, Evelyn’s cup is filled by nature, great coffee, film, being a step-parent to their partner’s cat, and Mario Kart. They strive to live congruently with values of being anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, and sex-positive in their personal and professional life.
