About
Making the decision to begin counselling is courageous; it takes vulnerability to step into the unknown! I want to provide you with some background about myself to help you make an informed, intentional decision about who you hope to work with.
I am a queer, middle-class, neurospicy, non-disabled, cisgender, white woman offering individual and relationship counselling services in Vancouver, BC on stolen xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) land. My dad (who passed away) ran a children’s theatre company, and my mom was an English professor. I see myself as a mixture of both of my parents: creative, artistic, warm, and analytical. I came out as queer as a teenager in Calgary, AB.
Before becoming a counsellor, I worked in management consulting and experienced severe burnout. Through my own healing work—engaging in somatic experiencing, trauma-informed therapy, EMDR, and internal family systems (parts work)—I began to reconnect with myself in a deeper way. This process shaped not only my path toward counselling, but also how I show up in the therapy room: grounded, present, and attuned to the complexity and imperfection of being human.
I offer a deeply supportive, warm, and collaborative space where we can explore your experiences, make sense of patterns, and move toward greater clarity, connection, and self-trust. I believe you are the expert in your life, and my role is to walk alongside you—offering guidance, curiosity, and care as we navigate what emerges together.
My work is grounded in trauma-informed, relational, somatic, and client-centred approaches, rooted in intersectional, anti-oppressive feminism. I have a particular passion for relationship counselling through an Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) lens, supporting individuals and couples to understand attachment patterns, access and process core emotions, and build more secure, meaningful connections. I find deep value in witnessing relational shifts unfold in real time and supporting partners to turn toward one another with greater openness and compassion.
I also focus on trauma processing through somatic experiencing, EMDR, and internal family systems, supporting clients to gently process and integrate difficult experiences at a pace that feels safe and manageable. Together, we work to build capacity, deepen self-awareness, and reintegrate all parts of you.
My practice is sex-positive, trauma-informed, kink-positive, sex-worker positive, and inclusive of LGBTQIA+ and polyamorous relationships.
Personally, I enjoy films, music, being in the forest and ocean, reading, meditation, meaningful conversation, good food, and spending time with loved ones. I am a Capricorn Sun, Cancer moon, and Cancer rising.
