About
Rachelle (she/they) is a Biracial, Queer, Neurodivergent student counsellor, who is eager to work alongside folks, co-creating safety within their healing journey. Rachelle has a background in social work that drives their deep passion for Social Justice and facilitating the shift to a more equitable and accessible society.
Rachelle is here to support those struggling with burnout, major life transitions, self-criticism/shame, identity, and the complex impacts of violence & trauma. She has experience supporting individuals in the 2SLGBTQIA+ community,
Neurodivergent and Disabled folks, and those working in helping professions or as caregivers. She is honoured to hold space for those who have experienced severe trauma (sexual or gender-based violence, state/institutional violence). Rachelle's practice is rooted in anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, strength-based and Feminist approaches, drawing tools from narrative therapy, emotion-focused therapy and somatic therapy. Rachelle's holistic counselling style invites folks to explore their unique stories and experiences, drawing upon their wisdom and strength within vulnerability.
Rachelle looks to show up every session with authenticity and humility, honouring the therapeutic relationship. From a lens of intersectionality, she looks to work alongside the multiply marginalised and those looking to reclaim their right to take up space.
For couples & non-traditional/privately defined relationship structures:
Rachelle is delighted to work with individuals, couples, and folks in relationships of all shapes. She looks forward to creating a sex-positive space; warmly welcoming folks who are interested/exploring or engaged in polyamory, monogamy, non-monogamy, sex work, and kink-centered relationships.

Words from Rachelle
Hi to all the lovely humans looking to start or continue therapy and wanting to see if I could be a good fit. I want to acknowledge strength it takes to enter therapy and deconstruct beliefs that no longer serve you, or have been imposed on you by society. My goal is to help folks rediscover the power in their vulnerability, and the fulfilment in seeing one's experience reflected and honoured in another, allowing people to better understand themselves and their communities. Within a non-judgmental space, I want to help reconnect people to the parts of themselves that they feel discomfort in or are disconnected from. I want to affirm and acknowledge the identities and experiences people hold and how this impacts their lives, including invisible illnesses or mental health. In sessions I look to help strengthen connections and healing by inviting folks to allow self-compassion, empathy and new perspectives into their lives.
If you are someone who has ever felt like they don’t belong, can’t keep up, or have felt shame or guilt for your self-expression, experiences or interests, we may be a good match.
A bit about me:
In my free time I like to hike and enjoy the outdoors, as well as rewatching comfort shows and working on whatever craft has grabbed my attention at the time. I also love to read, anything from science fiction to research articles, I enjoy getting fully immersed in the writing.
Approaches in therapy:
Anti-Oppressive
Attachment-informed
Client Centered
Emotion Focused
Harm Reduction
Intersectional Feminism
Kink-Affirming
Neurodivergent Affirming
Queer Affirming
Sex-Positive
Strength Based
Trauma-Informed/C-PTSD Informed
Current selected trainings:
San’yas Anti-Racism Indigenous Cultural Safety Training
