About
Harmony (she/they) is a transfem, white settler on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓ əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səl̓ílwətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. She is neurodivergent and lives with chronic pain.
Harmony believes that healing is something that happens through relationships built on mutual respect, and collaborative consent, which allows us to live lives embodied in our own authenticity. Her areas of interest and life experience include gender affirmation, religious trauma, disordered eating, and disability.
Harmony prefers a client-centred approach as she values prioritising autonomy and empowering the client. She believes each person already has the answers they are seeking, and that by building trust with the client, they will work together to illuminate these answers. Harmony is drawn to Internal Family Systems (or parts work) and somatic therapy. They work from an anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, and intersectional perspective. They refrain from offering unsolicited advice and seek to empower each client by providing them with the tools that they need. Harmony strives to be flexible, creative, and ultimately responsive to the client’s needs.
Harmony is currently completing her Masters in Counselling Therapy at Yorkville University. In her spare time, she finds joy in drawing, collage, sewing, music, and makeup. For her, art is essential for life.
Harmony is also running a No-Cost, Queer "Writing for Healing" Group on Sundays from 7:00pm - 9:00pm on Zoom
