Picture
Jane is centered in the photo. She offers a knowing smile with her arms crossed in front of her and her head tilted slightly. Her salt and pepper hair frames her face and rests on and behind her shoulders. Jayne is standing in front of an evergreen tree with a white t-shirt on.

About
Jayne (she/her) is a white, working-turned-middle-class, gender-fluid, queer settler. She is grateful to be living, practicing, and raising her family on the traditional and unceded territories of the səl̓ílwətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and xʷməθkʷəy̓ əm (Musqueam) peoples.

Jayne is passionate about the therapeutic relationship and will provide a healing space that is warm, welcoming, safe and respectful. Jayne works from an intersectional and transgenerational framework. Her approach to counselling is relational, strengths-based, collaborative, culturally informed, trauma-informed, and unbiased.

For many years, Jayne has worked with marginalized populations, including Indigenous clients, sex workers, houseless people and people who use substances.

Humanistic, solution-focused, attachment and emotion-focused approaches guide Jayne’s practice.

In the therapeutic space, Jayne sees her clients as experts in their own lives, and her role is as a collaborative partner, supporting clients to heal, grow, and live their best, most authentic lives.

Jayne looks forward to working with adult, couples and youth clients. Jayne is dedicated to creating a welcoming and safe space for BIPOC and 2SLGBTQIA+ clients. Areas of professional interest include attachment and relationships, existential exploration, gender and sexuality, anxiety and relationship counselling.

Jayne is a devoted parent who loves spending time with her family and friends. She loves to cook and be outside as much as possible with her beautiful dog Diego.
