My name is Lina (she/her) and I am an autistic & ADHD, queer, mostly able-bodied, and bicultural individual living and working on the stolen lands of the səl̓ílwətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and xʷməθkʷəy̓ əm (Musqueam) Nations. Intersectional inclusivity is an important part of my practice and I aim to co-create with you a comfortable therapeutic space that prioritizes authenticity, empowerment, and curiosity.
I have a strong dedication to supporting the neurodivergent community, as I have a first-hand understanding of the inaccessibility of the society we live in. I aim to help neurodivergent clients identify and work with their individual needs surrounding sensory over/understimulation, social demands, executive functioning, emotional regulation, meltdowns and burnout. I am experienced in helping neurodivergent clients navigate social masking/unmasking, alexithymia, rejection sensitivity (RSD), time management, demand avoidance/persistant drive for autonomy (PDA), C-PTSD, imposter syndrome and more. I continually work to dismantle my own internalized ableism and address dominant narratives around disability.
My practice is focused on anti-oppressive and trauma-informed care for marginalized individuals including BIPOC, neurodivergent, 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, immigrants, and poly/ENM communities. With a sex-positive and kink-affirming approach, I provide support for navigating common BDSM and kink-related challenges, including power dynamics, communication, consent, negotiation, boundaries, trust-building, and addressing shame or stigma. I like to see myself as a supportive co-collaborator alongside my clients on their healing journey.
Transparency is a fundamental value in my practice. I believe in providing clients with context and psychoeducation to encourage deeper understanding of the modalities I utilize as this empowers them to actively engage the therapeutic process and provides a framework for participation.
In my personal life, I enjoy gardening, hanging out with my pets, moving my body, and consuming any and all sci-fi media! I look forward to connecting with you.
