About
Counselling is a sensitive journey that encourages us to be vulnerable, open, and true to ourselves. Rabab strives to create a safe space for clients to explore their challenges and self. She brings compassion, non-judgement, warmth and genuine care into the therapy room. She is dedicated to supporting her clients with practical coping strategies and tools to navigating low self-esteem, stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, and other emotional and mental health challenges. Rabab collaboratively tailors each session to the unique needs and goals of her clients, recognizing that no two journeys are the same.
With lived experiences in depression, trauma, anxiety and stress from social, cultural and personal pressures and expectations, she understands the complexities and strain of dealing with mental health challenges and identity crises. Rabab empathizes and feels drawn to support those with similar experiences and challenges.
Rabab’s counselling philosophy derives from a client-centred lens, empowering the client as the expert in their own lives. She incorporates elements from anti-oppressive, feminist and trauma informed frameworks when supporting individuals on their journeys of personal growth and mental well-being.
Rabab (she/her) is a cisgendered, able-bodied, and heterosexual student counsellor and second generation Lebanese Canadian immigrant. She lives and practices on the stolen, ancestral, and unceded lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), səl̓ilwətaɁɬ təməxʷ (Tsleil-Waututh), S’ólh Téméxw (Stó:lō), and Skwxwú7mesh-ulh Temíx̱w (Squamish) peoples.
